Keio Gijuku Judo Club has its origin in the Spring of the 10th year of the Era of Meiji(1877)on the Mita Hill Campus, sponsored by Mr.Yukichi Fukuzawa, founder of Keio and since then our Club has always played a major role as a leader and pioneer in our nations athletic fields.
　On the one hand inwardly, it aimes to foster the Gijuku tradition with the harmonious cooperation and on the other hand outwardly, it aimes to enhance the spirit of a private school and as a result, it is devotedly expected to serve as both a spring of nobleness and a model of wisdom. In other words, it should materialize Fukuzawa Senseis two phrases
